How I hand clients the keys to their website without the risk
Most owners are scared to touch their own website, so it goes stale. Here's how my clients update their hours, prices, and photos themselves in a couple minutes, without breaking anything or waiting on me.
Most business owners are a little scared of their own website. They don't want to log into some complicated system and accidentally break the whole thing. So the hours stay wrong, last month's special is still sitting on the homepage, and a price that changed back in March still shows the old number. Or every time something needs updating, they email me and wait.
I didn't want my clients stuck like that. So every site I build comes with a simple dashboard, and it really only has two things in it: your leads, and your website content.
Open "your website content" and you see the parts that actually change. Your hours, your photos, your prices, your menu, your team, whatever your site has (I work with you so this is custom to your business). You click in, change the words or swap a picture, hit save, and your site updates. That's it.
Here's the part that matters. You can't break the design. You're editing the content, not the code. The layout, the fonts, the way it all looks, that stays locked and professional no matter what you type. So there's nothing to be nervous about. Worst case, you fix a typo.
No calling me for a one-line change. No waiting two days to take down an event that already happened. No learning anything technical. You update the stuff that changes, in a couple minutes, from your phone or your computer.
That's the whole idea. I build the site and hand you the keys to the parts you should control. The tech underneath, keeping it online, fast, and current, that stays on me.
Want to see what running your own site actually looks like? I'll walk you through it in five minutes.
